Hello RLPOA Member,
The Wisconsin State legislature is considering legislation to regulate wakeboating and wakesurfing activities. This legislation, if passed into law, will impact the waters of Wisconsin, shore land property owners, and all users of the resource.
Attached are two documents. Board Position Statement summarizes the two proposals that are being considered, and states position of the Association with regard to the legislation as written. This position was agreed to by the Board of Directors after considerable discussion of the topic. The other document is a copy of the bill as published by the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau.
I highly encourage you to read both documents and share this information with others who may have an interest. The position statement document provides web page links to the home page of each legislative author and the Round Lakes legislators. From these sites you can contact the legislators directly, and express your position on Senate Bill 680 and Assembly Bill 656.
