Carlson Road Project Update
The project to remove the timber dam/bridge and replace it with concrete box culverts seems to be delayed. According to Sawyer County, the contractor Haas Sons, Inc., Thorp, Wisconsin has yet to return the executed contract documents to the county.
Apparently Haas has sent letters about the project to property owners on Carlson Road—the county requested a copy of that letter, but has not yet received a copy. If you received this letter, we would like to see what it says about how Haas intends to perform the contract and their schedule—please send a copy of the letter to Treasurer@RoundLakes.org.
The project bids were opened on August 27, 2019 and the contract specifications require the project to be substantially complete on or before November 01, 2019.
That completion date appears rather optimistic to us. RLPOA will be invited to the preconstruction meeting, yet to be scheduled.
We will post updates here as information is released. Sawyer County did remove a beaver dam at the structure within the last two weeks. It is not known whether the current high water will affect the project.
