WATER LEVEL TREND CHART SINCE 2018

Our Lake is 100% fed by snow melt and rain water. Please be conscious of what you put on your lawns that then runs into our lake.

WATER LEVEL CHART 2026

The water level on Round Lake as of 10/02/2026 had dropped to 1343.95 feet above sea level.The downward trend has continued since the 4th of July due to evaporation and no significant rainfall resulting in a loss of 12.25 inches or approximately 1 inch per week after that date. As recent as June 17, 2024, the lake was 20 inches higher than today.

Now that the lake is in the 1343 foot range, it is reminiscent of the low water years of 2007-2010 when in April of 2010 the lake was at 1343.16 feet above sea level. Believe it or not, this was 9.48 inches lower than the level as of this week. Previous similar low levels occurred in 1976 and way back in the mid 1930s during the Great American Dust Bowl when the lake was extremely low.

Our current water level gauge at the Hwy. B bridge has only about 2 inches left before running out of water. If anyone is aware of another gauge on the lake that can measure lower than this please let us know. Also note that any other gauge must have been calibrated by a licensed land surveyor to measure as to sea level.

This is a comparison chart to April of 2024 - might help see where the water level is relative to when you last installed your dock.

WATER LEVEL CHART 2025

The lake level on 11/24/2025 was 1344.41 feet above sea level. This is the lowest level in 14 years (May 2011). More recent history in 2019, a reading in October of that year, the lake was at 1346.35 feet or 23 inches HIGHER than where the lake is today. Let's hope for a lot of snow this coming season!

WATER LEVEL CHART 2024

As of 11/23/2024 the lake level was 1344.95 ft. above sea level. This is within an inch of the level we have recorded the past 3 years at the same time. Historically, the lake is at its lowest level for the season this time of year. The lake is now only 3.25 inches lower than in April this past spring

The water level on our lake as of 10/07/2023 was 1,345.16 ft. above sea level which is 2.5" higher than same date last year.

WATER LEVEL CHART 2022

The lake level today was 1,344.95 ft. above sea level which is the lowest since I started taking readings in early 2018. The last time the lake was this low was in Nov. 2012, a reading taken by Bob Sosnowski. If you think the lake is currently really low consider the following; in historical records forwarded to me from Tom Wolf, I found a reading of 1,340.51 taken in 1933. This was during of the American Dust Bowl. That level was 4.5 feet lower (53.28 inches) from where we are today!!!
